On 27th August, Amrita Vidyalayam, Ernakulam, celebrated Janmashtami with great enthusiasm and joy. The event was a vibrant display of the festival’s spirit, with our little ones from Playgroup to Std. 2 dressed as Radha and Krishna. The celebration began with a soulful bhajan performance by students from Std 1 and Std 2, filling the air with devotion and reverence. This was followed by an adorable speech from our LKG children.
Adding to the excitement, our dedicated teachers performed a graceful dance, showcasing traditional art forms associated with Janmashtami. The highlight of the day was the handi-breaking ceremony, where students eagerly participated, emulating the playful nature of Lord Krishna. The event concluded with a lively free dance session, where all the children joyfully danced, celebrating the occasion in their own unique and carefree style.
