The celebration of World Food Safety Day began with an inspiring speech by Gowri Parvathy Sreejith of Standard 9 during the assembly. Her eloquent words set the tone for the day’s activities, emphasizing the importance of food safety in our daily lives.
Following the assembly, Principal Dr. V. Manorenjini conducted an enlightening awareness class on food safety and food habits suited to our climate and lifestyle. Additionally, Smt. Soumya, the Head of the Biology Department, addressed the students, and discussed the critical aspects of maintaining food hygiene, the consequences of neglecting food safety, and practical tips for ensuring that the food we consume is safe and healthy.
The day’s events included a healthy food demonstration competition for students of Standard 8 and 9. This competition encouraged students to showcase their skills while adhering to the principles of food safety. Participants presented a variety of healthy dishes, demonstrating both their culinary talents and their understanding of safe food practices.
